BP,

Yes - Yamamoto products are pricy but they work, and well. There's something about the way those worms sink and move that bass just can't seem to resist. I did a little test 2 days ago and today. We were getting hits on Yamamoto Senkos, so I switched to other types of plastic (different brands, types, colors) and not a bite. I also tried spinner baits and various crank baits, again nothing. Went back to the Senkos and got bass. Of course, I'm not discounting the chance that I have no clue how to properly fish with spinners or crankbaits either, as I've never had a lot of luck with them at all which makes me think it's me, not the lures.

Thanks

I've heard of that thing and it sounds good and looks good, but all Yamamoto Plastics are a bit spendy. I've got so much plastic I don't use already. If they are still around maybe I'll try em next season. I think they would be deadly on docks and pitching backward rigged.

Hopefully Zoom or someone else will come out with something similar so I don't have to pay such steep prices.

Rob,

I knew that...if that reply sounded too serious, chalk it up to the early hour and lack of caffeine.

Note to self: No posting before the first cup of coffee.

Rob,

I don't think I have any secrets as I've always gone into detail on where I fished, what lures I tried, and which one(s) were successful I said luck because every time I think I'm getting close to figuring out what makes the bass tick (i.e. I catch some decent fish), I find out I was wrong, usually the very next fishing trip, lol.
I've always had my best luck with worms - last year it was a blackberry colored Zoom U-tail, and this year it's the black Senko. I haven't done so well with spinner baits and crankbaits.

Nomad: A member of a group of people who have no fixed home and move according to the seasons from place to place in search of food, water, and grazing land.

Now, you can't tell me that a guy who lives off the land in search of food doesn't have any fishing secrets! lol

Joe, Nomad is holding back on ya my friend. He's got secret weapons and methods but refuses to share them with anyone!!! I've tried to pry them out of him for nearly a year now without any luck. :)

Personally, I like spinner baits and have caught several nice bass in the 2.5 years that I've lived here. However, most people that I know catch them on plastic worms. A friend of mine likes to use the biggest ones he can find, usually 7". He says, "if you want a big fish you have to use a big bait."

By the way, I'm moving to Seoul soon (not too far from uijongbu). Can you recommend any decent lakes?

Good luck!
