What Rob said is correct...the water temperature for bass to spawn is between 60 and 70 degrees, although there is a period before that called pre-spawn where they actively feed.  But like Rob also stated, in the South, you can catch them year round...they just move a little deeper during the colder months and alter their feeding patterns.</description>

I thought it was going to be a short winter in Georgia, but last week was a very cold one.  I&#039;d like to start fishing again, because I&#039;m bored stiff, but I don&#039;t know when the right time to think about getting back out is.  I&#039;ll probably start back in early March regardless....</description>
