But I’m going fishing. I figure, what better way to start out the new year? An added bonus would be if I catch the first bass of 2007 on the first day of 2007, but what are the odds?

Update: Well the odds of catching a fish would have been better had I had an auger to drill through the layer of ice which has formed. LOL

Well, I received some bad intel. A friend of mine told me on Sunday that one of his friends was out on the same lake, catching bass on Saturday. But going by the amount of ice on the water, there’s no way he was out there, catching fish this weekend.
Did he specify which Saturday?
Yep, this last Saturday.
Have to head south. No ice in the Gyeongnam region. Quite warm–only need a light jacket and a pair of fleece long johns under the waders. Whether the bass are active is an entirely different matter.
