We saw a guy using one of these reels the other day and I couldn’t believe how far and smooth it casts. He was using a 1/4 ounce lure, casting into a brisk wind, and was getting way out, with no backlashes.

Heres a thought, buy one of those rods as a blank, then build your own rod. Right on, you’ll like it that much more and at a tenth of the cost. Check ebay for rod blanks. I’ve built many rods Sage and others and people who bought them were quite happy with them. But trust me its easy to build your own rod. Try it you’ll like it.
