Back to work tomorrow

Well, these last 10 days passed quickly and even though I didn’t get to fish every day like I wanted due to the weather, it was still a good vacation.  Aside from fishing, I also got to spend some quality time with the family, which is always a good thing.  I probably put more miles on my car in the last 10 days than I have in the last three months and I’m sure that the ajoshi who washes my car for me every day is going to be really happy (not) to see how dirty it is - he’s going to earn his money tomorrow :)

This morning, Rob and I decided to try a few different areas of the Anseong River near Camp Humphreys.  The first spot we tried  was where I did real good last Wednesday and caught that nice one on Thursday but this morning, it wasn’t happening.  I’m not sure if it was because of the winds, the strong current or what, but I only had one hit, and that ended up being my biggest bass of the day.

Rob estimated it to be around 2 1/2 pounds, which sounds good to me!  After an hour or so, we packed it up and tried an area near the bridge close to the Camp Humphreys main gate but all we caught there were small bass so we drove to an area near the KTX train tracks where the entire bank is nothing but rocks, both on land and in the water.

I caught the above at the second place, but the bass I caught at the third place weren’t any bigger than this one, and some were even smaller.  Rob caught one at the last spot near the KTX tracks which was over three pounds, but unfortunately we were too far apart for me to get a picture of it.  I caught all my fish on 3 and 4 inch black Senkos – they wouldn’t hit a 5 inch Senko today.  Rob caught his big one on a Paca Craw.  By 11, the sun was kicking my butt and so even though we were still catching fish, I decided to call it a day.  Today was a great ending to an excellent fishing vacation and I can’t wait to do it again next year.
