BTW,
Water clarity was way down due at both places due to all the runoff.
Water going over the spillway at 82 lake and Idong had the one center gate partway open at dam.

Nomad,
The South shore wasn't too bad, only a little green.
It's pretty exposed to the wind though, I think the water skiers help as well.
Saw quite a bit more green on Hwy 82 lake, especially in the secluded areas, but still fishable.

Rob,

I think I already told you but the previous weekend when I went to the cove, I saw the same thing; hundreds of baby bass hiding out in the weeds. I 1/4 of the ones I saw just in the cove make it to adulthood, Idong will rock in about 5 years. Too bad I won't be here to see it ;)

Dave,

I'd say 25 keeper Bluegill is darned good day's fishing :)

You made a wise decision not to try the road into the cove...even after it had stopped raining for a week, that road was still pretty slick in places and had some nasty ruts so after this weekend's rains, it would have been hard going, even with a 4-wheel drive. BTW, is Idong covered with that green gunk yet?

Congrats on the bluegill catch Dave.

The funny thing about Dunpo is that the wife and I were out there on Friday and there was no algae anywhere. We rented a boat and covered pretty much the entire lake. The fishing was a little slow, caught six small ones in just about as many hours, but there was honestly no green muck to speak of. There were, however, tons of baby bass hiding out in the weeds, and we had the entire lake to ourselves, which was great.

Nomad,
Here is my report:
Saturday woke up to rain.
There goes my saltwater trip over by the Kia Test Track.
So we went to Seoul for the Sat and Sun to see the in-laws.
Monday was a georgous day and I was previously obliged to take the youngin to Everland. Perfect day for that. Not crowded at all. Weather was nice, etc.
That left today and my planned trip to Idong with my two cousins.
Picked them up and arrived at 0700 and it was still raining pretty good. Was at the dirt road looking up the hill and at the rain still coming down and thinking about all the rain in the past 4 days and decided not to try it. I looked at the dirt off to the side and it looked like mud soup. Didn't want to get over the hill and get stuck on the other side. So we went to the opposite side and chunked a few lures for about an hour with no luck. We had a couple dozen nightcrawlers with us, so we decided to head over to the Hwy 82 lake and try for a mess of gills. Ended up catching about 25 "keeper" bluegills and a few small bass. But had to work real hard for them around the floating cabins. Had the long rods out trying for some cats, had a few small hits, but nothing to set the hook on. Fishing was so-so, but ended up with a mess for tomorrow nights supper.

All right. I'll see if I can find them. I like mysteries...and besides, IMDB says they were filmed near my home.
