Tail-gate Trout

Nomad,

About 30 of us went out to Tok Bong on Sunday. The fishing was slower than normal, it was crowded, but it was a beautiful day. We started out with a tail-gate breakfast and then sttled in for some relaxing fishing. The kids had a ball, and though everyone there didn’t catch fish, I think everyone had a great time regardless.

Here’s one I caught on green power bait (released unharmed):

Did the truck come out around noon to restock the lake? When I went there a couple of times a few years ago, a truck would come by right around noon – but that was always on a Saturday.

Is that Ms. Gar flashing the bunny ears in the back?

Great weather this past weekend, wasn’t it? Please tell me that the tailgate breakfast featured someone grilling bacon & eggs and it wasn’t just rice, kimchi & soup :???:

    Dave,
I brought 3 dozen eggs with onions, green peppers, cheese, salsa and tortillas for burritos. We had two pots of SOS with plenty of biscuits, sausages, chorriso, bacon, hash browns, OJ, coffee, etc. We don’t mess around with breakfast :)

No that’s not Mrs Gar with the bunny ears… it’s my brother in-law’s girl friend. She’s a nice kid.

Brings back fond memories of mornings at Lake Cushman in the Olympics of Washington state. The trout there make for a fine lunch and dinner too! You sure have a lot of friends.
