I’ve heard that Singal has some sort of warm water runoff area, but you need a boat to reach it.

That was the only one caught, but I did have two other bites, one of which broke my line at hook-set – which is what I get for using the same line that’s been on that rod all year. According to KMA, it’s supposed to get up to 51 degrees Christmas day

Good job Nomad. So how many did you catch total? I did not think you would be able to catch anything in Korea from the bank this late in the year. I know with a boat you can catch them in the cold once you find them, but from the bank,that is no easy. You the Man.

Do you guys know of any power plant cooling lakes near here. Back home, they are the real hotspots this time of year. The colder it gets, the more the baitfish congregate near the discharge and in come the predators, It is not uncommon to find 60 degree water there even when the ambient air temperature is down near single digits..

I thought so too, Rob and like I said, I didn’t expect to get a bite, much less catch a fish. Totally different mindset required for winter fishing though, as I found out. When you get back I’ll show you the 2nd area I tried yesterday – I think it’ll be an excellent spot come spring.

the last time i went fishing (in NC 2006)i could feel all the nibbles and pull on my line however the fish are smart and would avoid being hooked and somehow get a lot of my worm!!!
