For those that missed it

You can catch bass in winter, if you’re willing to get out there and brave the elements.

Nice Bass. It seems this lake gives up some good bass earlier than some of the other lakes except to me as I have never caught so much as a bite on the two occasions I went there. That lake clearly hates me. Some of the Korean Pros did tell me that they catch some good size bass in Andong with spoons in the cold weather. Pretty much the same tactic used in the states. The food and bottle of soju do look good though.

Anyone ever eat a Singal fish? Or, anybody ever live to tell about it rather? ;)

John The Original, you’ve fished up there in your boat before, haven’t you? Give us the scoop when you have time…

    Rob,
I heard Singal was full of Bass turds.

    MMmmm, yummy!! ;)

I remember people would always catch carps in the winter in Slovakia for Christmas dinner. Seeing all those colorful carps here in Asia now certainly looks all the more appetizing!

Did he actually eat that thing?!
    :???:

I hope not. That lake has good bass but has the most nastiest looking and worst smelling water I have seen in Korea. Its probably all the fecal matter in the water that makes the bass grow big in there. Straight up “Catch and Release” is the only thing I would ever do in that lake.

Singal may be full of bass turds and pollution, but there are some huge bass in that lake.

    Tex Mex,

Unless I’m fishing for bluegill or I’m with someone who wants to keep a few for dinner, catch and release is all I do anymore.
