I caught a bass that had another lure stuck in its throat, and it was a pretty big soft plastic lure at that. I might have to get the fly rod out when I get home :idea: Nomad, I'd like to try fishing at Idong as I've heard you guys talk about it so much, we could maybe do some bank fishing there early in the morning and then go back to the river with the boats. I did some flyfishing for bluegill last year and was catching some good size and numbers of bluegill, and that was in the June and July time.

2006 was the same…my wife caught over 20 bluegill in a very short time while I was bass fishing, and the was at the end of June.

I might have to get the fly rod out when I get home :idea:

Nomad, I’d like to try fishing at Idong as I’ve heard you guys talk about it so much, we could maybe do some bank fishing there early in the morning and then go back to the river with the boats.

I remember that about 2 weeks later we could barely even catch enough for a meal. Maybe this week I'll go for some gills after work. Any day on the water is great, and to catch 15 Bass with not perfect bassin’ weather is a job well done. :grin: :grin:
