Early Morning Bass, Part 7

Another good morning out on the river for yours truly.  Despite the forecast for rain, which thankfully didn’t materialize, I headed out this morning and arrived at the river right before first light.  All the decent bites I got were at that time.  I had three bites all within 10 minutes of each other, although I managed to lose two of them.

I caught this one on a 5 inch Senko, black with blue flakes – three pounds, one ounce smile_teeth.  Once it got light, the bite slowed down although I did catch three more smaller ones.  There were two carp fishermen camped out in my favorite spot, along with their 10 rods each, fanned out in every direction, so my options were somewhat limited.  2008 just keeps on rocking!

Like I told you this morning, I think you should be paying ME for working here! Catch fish in the morning before work, and then an hour later, go back out for Riverine Survival Skills team building. What a job, eh?

    John,

I believe the pleasure of my company and sunny disposition more than make up for any monetary compensation

And, you’re preaching to the choir….I tell anyone who stands still long enough to listen what a great job I have, again and again.

Hey Frank, I’m still waiting for the invitation to go with you in the morning time frame. Guess Not! Take care and good catch, just don’t drink the water! LOL

  4. Rob says:

LOL Ty! Frank, take the guy fishing in the morning, would ya? :)

    Ty,

The thing is, I never “plan” on going. If I wake up early enough and the weather is decent, I go. It’s day by day. Heck, what stops you? Just get up and go, man!

Unless…unless…you’re just trying to get my spots so you can tell Jim, the rest of 35th ADA and half of Osan AB

I hope all the west coast bass are like that for when I get to fish at Kunsan on Saturday for the first time since April…..6 weeks

    Congrats Nomad
