Just found the link to this site over at Marmot's off a comment you made on the Open Thread.

Nice new blog (or whenever you set it up).

I am just finishing up my semester of both teaching high school (here in Georgia) and taking MA classes at a college an hour from home.

I will have classes this summer to finish up the degree, but I will not be anywhere as close to as busy as I have been since Jan and since Aug.

I hope to do some finishing this season.

Last year, the whole of the year, was a big bust. We had a drought that got pretty severe. The main lakes in the state were dangerously low.

I don't fish them, but the weather made the streams and creeks I like to hike and fish too low for fishing. It was the same with the small lake on my undergrad college campus where I go for a sure catch. The lake once disappeared in a sink hole and has only come back the last few years, but last year, it was nothing but shallow water covered in weeds. Plenty of fish, but no fun trying to catch them.

This spring, and since early winter, after the gov. and some civic leaders held a prayer-for-rain session at the state capital, we've actually had rain to the point we've pretty much caught up with the yearly numbers.

I haven't been out to the streams yet. Too busy. But, I'll be out in a week or two.

This summer, I also get paid while not working thanks to teaching high school now. So, I should get some more chances to travel around a little to the mountain lakes and streams in the North Georgia area to see what bass I can find...
