Skunked!

Shocking, I know but it’s true; I got skunked this morning, and in a big way.  I decided to try a different area, a spot where Rob and I did really well last fall – but first, let’s have this morning’s sunrise pic and a bonus wildlife pic:

Below are some pics of the area I was fishing and you have to admit, it looks perfect.  Deep water and lots of rocks along the shore.

I walked up and down that bank this morning, trying everything except the kitchen sink and all I got for my efforts was one single bite, which I missed.  Look how calm that water was…I was kicking myself over the fact that I didn’t go to the areas I usually fish – I bet the reeds and weeds would have been great this morning.  Oh well, I’ll get them next time smile_regular

    :eek: NOMAD.. What skunked surely not.. Hey, it had to happen sooner or later. You’ll get them next time. Thanks for not inviting me this morning. Just Kidding, I’ll go any time except Tuesday and Friday.

    I think the cold front caused the Bass to move to deeper waters. Things should be back to normal by the weekend. I plan to fish at Idong early Saturday…see you at the cove.

    You didn’t miss much…

    We fished Idong on Sunday afternoon and it was tough. I saw no bluegill and we only caught a couple of bass, all of which were smal except one which Ty caught. Plus, we saw hundreds of baby bass all along the shore in the shallows.

    LOL..trust me, I get skunked plenty. And yes, it was a beautiful morning to be out fishing, even though the bass weren’t cooperating at that spot.
