TexMex,

You're right, that river is bad for wacky style...and anything else for that matter...crank baits, spinner baits, or anything else with hooks. I've lost more damned lures in that river than I care to think about :(

TY,

LOL

Nomad,

I fish them weightless, both wacky and Texas stlye. I have gotten better action on the wacky style presentation but it gets to be a pain in the ass at the amount of times you get snagged in that river using the wacky style hook up.

I fished early yesterday early morning until lunchtime and had a blast. I post a report later on today as my camera is still in my car.

TexMex,

How do you fish your Senkos? I have found that presentation has a lot to do with it, especially out on the river. I've had luck with various colors but the old tried and true are 4 and 5 inch black, fished weightless on 2/0 and 3/0 hooks, respectively. And yeah, I've been really lucky this year but then I'm also spending a lot more time fishing than I ever have before.

Man, you are just killing them. I gave in and bought the real senkos so I need to get out there and see if it really does makes a difference.

Rob: Did you sign up for the Andong tournament?

Oh, and where I fished this morning, there was no algae...I'm wondering if the overcast skies had something to do with the feeding frenzy. But yeah, you're right, you have to get out there to catch fish and I've been getting out there this year ;)

You know my theory...screw the moss, aglae, wind, high pressure, low pressure, cold front, and hot fronts - - you can't catch fish without wetting a line, and you can't do that from home. :) Glad you had a good moring!!
