I lucked out this past Saturday by not having to attend a planned wedding in Seoul and was able to hit the river. I didn’t get out until about 1030 but the bass were still biting. The water was dead calm and 70 degrees.
I started pitching a jig and worked through crankbaits, rattle traps and worms. The bass were hitting them all.
The sun was out and it got hot around lunchtime so we had to take a little break to stuff our faces.
Smoked oysters and crackers, yum!
Overall, another wonderful day.
WTG on catching a few fish John, great photos. In the second photo your dog is smiling at something
You did much better than I did this weekend
John,
You have the perfect fishing buddy. He’ll never hog the boat, cast to the best spots first, or complain about how long you stay out there
Nomad,
I can’t think of any “human” that I would prefer to fish with over the weiner dog. All the reasons you mentioned plus he doesn’t talk back.
Way to go John. Any idea where I can find a fishing buddy like that?
Dog?
That ain’t a dog.
That’s shark bait where we come from!
Rob,
I knew that was coming
Bite me!
LOL Nomad.
I have a two year old yellow lab but am afraid of what she might do if I took her out in the portaboat. She’s still a little too wild for that just yet.
John,
Do you have a picture of your boat?
I’d like to see how you did your setup on that inflatable.
Dave
hunterdave99,
I’ll put some up today.
Steve,
I just looked at the second pic again and Gochue sure is grinning. I think he was just excited to be on the river. I probably had the same sh*t eatin’ grin on my face!
