Early Morning Bass, Part 12

The rain and strong winds that KMA forecast for this morning magically never showed up which is a good thing, since I headed out yet again, even though I woke up later than usual and didn’t get to the river till after the sun started rising.

Still, I caught a few fish, lost a few fish and had another good, albeit shortened morning out there.

I spent most of the morning throwing spinner baits and rattle traps, but no luck at all…the few fish that I did catch were caught once again on four inch Senkos, black with blue flakes.  I hope my order from Bass Pro comes in real soon because I’m starting to run low on those Senkos although I do have plenty of plain black and some other colors.

We were out with friends last night and I had a few too many C&C’s so my fishing day has been postponed until tomorrow. Glad you could catch a few nice ones again Nomad

    Nomad,

Don’t think you have had a bad day yet this year. You are the man.

A few too many! Ack! Where are your priorities, my friend? ;)

Last night was our last chance to have a big drinking night before I go back to Nigeria, so I have to keep the wife happy.
If I lived closer to bass waters, I would be out there every morning just like you Nomad, but I have to drive minimum one hour to find bass

So tomorrow I will be there before daylight and have my inflatable boat in the river

Hopefully, weather permitting and if I wake up in time, I’ll be out there as well, maybe trying that one area where I got skunked last week .

    TexMex,

It all depends on how you define “a bad day.” I consider any day when I can get in some fishing as a good day but if you mean days that I’ve gotten skunked, well, there have been a few. I’m definitely not complaining though
