Ah and by the way! I've done even more research! Found 4 different fishing stores here in Seoul. I must say that the ones I've looked into was very interesting!
So much stuff was different from the ones we use in Europe, especially the carp stuff! I dont think I've ever seen carpfishers in Europe use a double-hook-boltrig-tackle?! I have my doubts about some of the stuff here but probably I just dont know how the Koreans use them to their full advance :D Anyway hope to hear more from ya'll!

Thanks Dave! I also got some information today from a tourist agancy about fishing near Inchon, something called Daebudo Fishing Area, or something like that. Daebudo have a homepage, www.daebudo.com, but I dont understand anything there and didnt find anything about fishing when clicking random :D Anyway it was quite cheap so maybe we'll give it a try if nothing else comes up.

The thing is that I think we rather do Bass/Snakehead or something inland, from the pictures Ive seen on the net about seafishing, it didnt look that interesting :)

I also got an answer from James Card, who seems to offer only flyfishing, which is the one kind of fishing me and my father kind of avoid, but maybe it could be fun to try it out in Korea. If I dont find any Lurefishing/Angling that is :D

Again people: Thanks for all the response!

Joel,
You should be able to find some offshore fishing day trips from the Inchon area. Down here at Osan Air Base, the outdoor recreation office is starting up day trips for ocean fishing in the Inchon area starting in June. They used to fish a little south of here, but will be going north this year due to the oil spill. You could give them a call at 031-661-4007, tell them your situation, and ask for their english speaking contact in the Inchon area. I don't know if they will give it to you or not, but you can give it a try.

Havent got any emails back from either anglerstown or James. And I thought I sent really nice and polite mails :/
Thank you for asking around for me! Really nice! Most of the Korean English/Konglish is so-so, but if theyre able to communicate just a little, then we can figure out the rest :)
Yeah I like my fathers hobby and try to go with him when my studies/girlfriend allows it :D (And yeah its a hobby, there's no fulltime fishermens in Sweden :))

Joel, sounds like you have a pretty cool Father. :)

For bass fishing, Andong is by far the best place to go in my opinion, but you'd need a boat. Although I've heard that there are people down there who do guided tours, I don't think their english is so great. Let me ask around to see what I can find out. Did you ever get a reply from James?

Snakehead fishing would be pretty cool too. That would definitely be unique, plus I have heard that they put up a heck of a fight.

Rob, my father competes as a so called specimen hunter. Which means that he and his team try to catch big fishes of twenty different species over a year. We like to try out different species! :D

Therefore, fishing any specimen that we dont got in Sweden would be great. We actually dont got Bass, only Perch (I guess you could say that Perch and Zander is a bit like bass :)) Bass fishing would be great! Also Ive looked at some Korean pages for Snakehead fishers, look cool too.

Joel, that fish wasn't caught here in Korea by the way. That one was caught in the States in KY. What type of fishing do you want to do? Bass fishing, ocean fishing???
