John, I’ve actually done that several times this year, a couple of times with Nomad. The way I look at it, if I’m going to go to the trouble of taking a vacation day and putting the boat in the water, I might as well take advantage of it.

It was really odd… I was catching fish in 12 feet of water in the morning when it was still cool and foggy out, and in the afternoon when it was hot as hades and the sun was shining bright I was catching them in four feet of water. Go figure… Oh, and the water temps were in the mid 70′s. In the late afternoon I noticed that it was up to near 80 in a couple of spots, 78 to be exact I think…

Steve, all year long I’ve tried to hang in there for some evening fishing but in the end I just ran out of gas. The last time Nomad and I went out I was close though, was out on the water from 0500 to 1800.

I to have donated several of lures to the rivers and lakes….and when the water levels drop, the kids kind them

John, I’m the same as Rob, when I go fishing, I GO FISHING!!!!! in the summer I will fish from before sunrise until after dark….just make sure I take lots of water!

Way to go Rob! 11 hours of fishing? What endurance, I’d be taking a nap somewhere in there. How deep were you fishing and what was the water temperature?

Well I found the red backpack. It was in the basement, but unfortunately my camera wasn’t in it.

Yes, I use the trailer that comes with the chatterbait. I’ve also heard of people cutting a swimming Senko in half and using that, but I have never tried it.

I think it’s (red backpack) in the basement actually, need to run down there and check.

I haven’t been night fishing since Nomad and I went three years ago. Damn, time sure flies, doesn’t it?

When I get back home, I will be doing some night fishing and I’ll be using mostly poppers and other topwater lures, but I’m also going to try some chatterbaits/KaRu Vibrashocks. I think they’ll catch some nice big night feeding bass

Do you use a trailer worm on your chatterbaits??

I use the KaRu vibrashocks with a ring worm type trailer….the action in the water is amazing.

Steve, I tried the popper first thing in the morning when it was still foggy out but didn’t get a single bite on it. After that, they were hitting the chatterbait so well that I didn’t even try anything else.
