Rob, I think you are right, I think that the dark water helps to keep it a little cooler. One lake I fished yesterday was really green in color and the water temp was 82* and another lakes yesterday was crystal clear and the water temp was 89* and the 2 lakes were near each other. It also helps us to be able to sneak up on the fish without spooking them !!

Yeah I think it bothers us more than the fish, unless it gets real thick and starts going down below the surface…doesn’t it take the oxygen out of the water?

Actually, I don’t think that stuff bothers the fish much. If anything it provides them with a little more shade…

I fished at 5 different lakes yesterday and found this stuff in 3 of the lakes and one of the lakes was really bad, but the fishing was great…..go figure!!
