Steve,

Except for some really shallow ones, I don't know of too many lakes up here that fit that criteria (lily pads, water chestnuts) and the only reason Idong has all that vegetation along the shore right now is because while the water level was very low earlier this spring, the grass had a chance to grow.

At least you tried Nomad, but don't give up on frogs, it's sure exciting when a bass busts-up on a frog. Try and find some pads or water chestnuts. Looks like Idong is pretty much all open water except for the bit of grass, but almost all the lakes down my way are all covered with pads and water chestnuts during the summer and frogs are a blast.

Oh, nice bass Nomad

Man, what can you say about Senkos? If you have the patience to fish ‘em, they’re golden…
 Shhhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone ;)

Ah, it's all good, Rob. I was bound and determined to try a frog and I gave it the old college try...not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong, if I'm using the wrong color (green with white bottom), or if the bass just weren't there due to the lower water levels or, they weren't in the mood for frog this morning.

Wish the fishing would have been a little better for you Nomad, but hey, you got out there... Man, what can you say about Senkos? If you have the patience to fish 'em, they're golden...
