Maybe they were the exception to the rule but these two guys were pretty young, in their 20's or early 30's...maybe they were taking dad's boat out for a spin :)

Nice going Nomad!

Boats like that are a dime a dozen out there these days... As to why they're out there during the week, I suppose they take off of work to avoid the crowds like I do on occasion. And most of the ones I've seen out there in the really nice boats have been older guys in their 40's and 50's... I haven't a clue what they do for a living, but if they get to fish all of the time I wouldn't mind joining their career field! :) Whatever they do, good on 'em I say...

Yes James, nice to see you drop by!!!

James,

Good to hear from you here once again :)

I know it's hard to believe since every adventure on this blog entails Senkos, but I have tried what you suggest (ok, except for the leaving Senkos at home part). I've gone out there and have thrown spinner baits, chatter baits, crank baits, other types of worms, frogs, top water lures; you name it but in the end, I always go back to the trusty, never-let-me-down, Senkos. They work and catch fish consistently so it's hard to break that habit...it really is.

Nomad,

I dare you to leave the Senkos at home and fish with something else.  In order to become a better angler sometimes you must handicap yourself. Sometimes I do it: choose the ugliest fly in my fly box and only use that for the day. You'd be surprised at what you can do (and what the fish will eat).

About the guys in the boat: too bad they have a nice boat like that but don't know how to use it. Did they have peroxide colored hair? Maybe they were from FTV and are true bass pros!

Steve,

I usually get out there between 4:30 and 5:00 and I have seemed to have most of my bites while it was still dark or right before/at first light.

I agree about the weather, it's not letting up :(

That makes two of us...how these guys are constantly out on the river during the weekdays is beyond me, unless they have night jobs, or very rich parents ;)

Nice fish Nomad.
I'll be out early tomorrow morning, I want to be at the water by around 4:00am. What time have you found to be the best at the moment Nomad ??

In the last few weeks that I've been home, I feel like the weather is hotter than it was 2~3 weeks ago, I guess the algae is confused :?: :?:

I makes me wonder how people can afford nice boats like the one above, but can be fishing on a Wednesday and not have to work :?: :?: I guess I'm doing something wrong.
