You may be right about the water temps Nomad. With that said, the lakes down my way do get a covering of ice at some point, but the streams and rivers seem to stay ice free and that's where I tend to fish the most during the winter months.

Steve,

I think the water temps down your way tend to stay warmer than up here...I've gone out a few times during the winter months but have only had a few bites, at least from shore - and the one bass I did catch last year was a dink.

Nomad,
I hope you can get out soon, the bass I have caught during the previous winter months always seem to be of a good size. Lipless crankbaits, jigs and shakey heads will be what I'll be using this year.

I'll be home in less than 2 weeks, so I hope it warms up a little, I need to go fishing!!!! My wife told me yesterday that it has been snowing on Geoje island, which is very rare.

I'll be home on December 18th and I know a great winter fishing spot, can't wait

Don't know if we were the "only" ones out there bass fishing in a boat or not, but we didn't have much company, that's for sure.

This much is for certain: those days are gone for good.

Just think Rob...4 years ago the only bass fishermen out there in a boat, ever, were you and Joe in his River Queen. And back then, on any day of the week I could walk the shore and never run into another bass fisherman unless I was out there with a friend. The carp fishermen were out there, but back then they congregated mainly in certain areas and I knew where to go to avoid them, which wasn't hard. My oh my, how things have changed. LOL, what's next, river tours or swan boats like they have on the Han river? We've already seen jet skis and water skiing, so those can only be next.

The increase in fishermen that the river has seen the past few years is truly amazing. Wow!
