Last fishing trip, or so I thought!!

I took my little inflatable boat out to a lake on Tuesday as I was supposed to be going back to work on Friday morning. This work trip has now been postponed until next week, so I should be able to get one more fishing trip in before then.

The lake is the one that Tex Mex knows that is between Taegu and Busan.

When I got on the water at 9:00am the water temps were only 42 degrees, but by mid-day it was up around 50 degrees and the fish started to bite. During the whole day I only got 5 bites. I hooked into 3 of them, but lost one of them right at the boat.

The bites I had were only on a drop shot rig and the Neko rig which I talked about in another post with Rob.

Enough of my blabbering, here’s some fish pics……….

This was my first post using Windows Live Writer, it was sooooo much easier. Thanks for all your help with that Nomad

    Way to go Steve! :)

Damn, the water temps are up in the 50′s down there already????

Good job Steve! Man you’re lucky with the water temps…as I said in my post above, when I pulled that fish out of the river today, it felt like it had just come out of a bucket of ice and that’s not an exaggeration. Glad you got Live Writer to work ;)

Thanks guys. The water reached 52 at it’s peak but was mainly between 48 and 50 for most of the day.
It looks like I will be travelling to work on Tuesday, so I think I’ll get another day out on the water before then

    Steve,

Great catch, I love that lake and the town around it. We usually would go there for two days and stay at a hotel in the nearby town to drink some beers and relax at night. I’d venture to say that by April and for sure in May, that lake will start yielding the big mamas. Man do I miss it down there  .

Thanks Tex Mex. I once staying in a Motel right near the lake because it had garages for me to put my boat over night. I might have to give that little town an over night stay next time though. I always spend 2 days (and one night) on that lake during March, but this year it will have to be April.
