Pyeongtaek River on a Nice Spring Day

I took the day off work today so I met up with Rob at the Pyeongtaek river for a few hours of fishing and it ended up being a pretty nice day, all the way around.    The day started out really windy and a bit on the chilly side but close to noon, the wind died down and it warmed up nicely, and the bass seemed to like the change in weather as much as we did because  we managed to catch a couple of decent fish:

I caught all my fish on black, 4-inch Senkos while Rob caught his on jigs, Neko rigs and 5-inch Senkos of various colors.  There should have been quite a few more pics but I didn’t get most of the ones Rob caught due to us fishing some distance apart and me being too lazy to run down the shore every time he caught a fish smile_regular.  I believe all the bass today were caught close to shore, in shallow water, in or close to weeds/reeds.

And the one time I did get you to run over to me I had to yell “Big Momma,” only for it to be nothing more than a decent fish, but definitely not a Big Momma. It sure looked and felt like a BM though. Sorry for the false alarm. :)

Nice day out there Nomad. Thanks for coming out.

    Rob,

Believe me, the pleasure was all mine

    Steve,

I love this time of year; unfortunately it’ll be smoking hot before you know it. It seems like spring and fall get shorter every year I’ve been over here :(

Nice catch guys. Any guess to what the water temperature is in the river? I went to Singal yesterday and it was in the upper 40s but warmed up to 53. Didn’t even get a bite but I must admit, I spent more time playing with my new side imaging Humminbird than fishing. It is truly an amazing piece of fishing equipment, almost like a TV camera. I’ll post a few pics of it shortly.

Thanks John. I have no idea what the water temperature was, but just guessing I’d say high 40′s low 50′s…

That sounds about right…I know it still felt pretty cold…
