The weather has been terrible this spring so far, with cold temperatures and high winds but this morning, the winds were calm for once so I decided to try my luck – and I’m glad I went out. I also tried a new place, about 2 kilometers past Daenkori on a dirt road (some of you know where that is, near the power lines). I started fishing around 6 but didn’t get my first bite until right after 6:30, and this one below was 19 inches long (48.26 centimeters – I’ll catch my 50 centimeter bass one of these days
)
I had one more which felt like a nice one that broke my line right against the shore in the rocks, and then right before I had to go to work, on my very last cast of the morning, I caught this one.
I tried a spinnerbait for the first 30 minutes I was out there, but had no luck and then I changed to a 4-inch, black Senko and started getting bites. I hope the weather starts getting a little better from here on in though, this wind we’ve had here recently has really put a damper on the fishing.
Good going Nomad! Early bird gets the worm.
For once, there was not a trace of wind out there. The water still feels pretty cold though, but at least they’re slowly coming in…
L&MFL!!!
These next few weeks should offer up some really good fishing. Hope my work situation changes soon so that I can get out there and join you.
Nice catches Nomad!!!!
I seems you must of sent that wind down this way Nomad, it was blowing hard here today
Rob,
Hopefully you can join me next week some time
Steve,
Yeah buddy, I’ve had enough of that wind…it was finally calm like glass this morning which lasted till about noon. John and I went out at lunchtime and halfway through, the wind started kicking up and it was a chilly wind too
Good Going…I’m headed to Chinhae/Pusan for the next couple of days, but I’m off work on Monday so I might try to make it out there if I can.
Nomad, I spoke with the wife last night and told her I will be coming to fish with you next week.
