Fishing with Rob

I met Rob out at Pyeongtaek lake today for a few hours of fishing; what I really wanted to do today was practice with my new baitcast (er? ing?) reel. I’ve always used spinning reels but since I now own a couple of baitcast reels, I’m trying to get used to them so I tied on a spinnerbait and tried my best not to get any backlashes.

It was a beautiful morning to be out fishing (well, any morning is a beautiful morning when you’re fishing, right? smile_wink).

Rob caught several bass on crankbaits (fished slow, I believe), above are a couple of the fish he caught.

As I said earlier, I was mainly throwing spinnerbaits and caught three bass, all about the same size, on that color lure that you see in the first two pics.  I tried several other colors with no takers; just like last year, the bass seem to like that combo white/red skirt with the silver and gold blades.  Rob and I threw Senkos on and off all morning, without a single bite and just as were were talking and wondering why the fish weren’t touching Senkos today, I caught that fish in the last pic.

The “Fishing with…..” series is coming on well everyday now Nomad  Glad you 2 managed to get some fishing in together.

That fish in the last photo looks like he really wanted that senko

Hope you have a great day in the boat tomorrow Rob

Unfortunately, I’ve almost run out of people to fish with so the series may be over.

You’ll have to take your neighbour Mike out one day :!:

I’d love to fish with Mike again but many times, his two days off per week aren’t the same as mine and he sometimes has to work nights so it’s hard to meet up…
