I have just got these photos from my bass club website of the boat ramp area at Andong…it’s a sad sight. I hope the water levels start to rise soon!

It was pretty low last year during the KSA ProAm tournament but not that bad. With it that low a lot of the dead trees will be completely exposed rather than the structure they were last year.
My concern is, how much lower will the water drop and can folks still launch their boats
I’ve never been to Andong so I don’t have a reference but from the pics, it looks really low. I wish they’d start letting the water out of Idong, last time I was there it was super high…
For what it’s worth, the boat ramp pictured above is not the main one. The main ramp is to the right of the boat dock on the same side of the lake as the person taking the picture. From what I hear the main ramp is messed up too though, but the Koreans have poured a bunch of gravel off to the side of it and made a fairly nice temporary boat ramp until the water levels start to rise. The KSA guys have launched from it the past couple of tournaments, and plan on doing the same for the tournament this weekend.
That’s kind of good news then Rob, so long as the water doesn’t continue to drop!!
Speaking of tournaments at Andong, is anyone planning on fishing the International tx which is coming up soon?? it seems that every pro/am or International tournament this year is happening when I am either travelling to or from Angola
I’m heading down there tomorrow Steve and will take pics of the temporary boat ramp.
Also, heard tonight that the International is in June. Will you be in country?

I can’t remember the exact dates (I have them on my hard-drive somewhere), but the Int tourney is on the Sunday and I am due to fly to Angola on the Monday morning…so unless things change I will have to miss it again this year
I do want to get over to one of the Andong tourneys in June if possible, not to fish but just to checkout the scene and make a day of it…(and maybe wet a line while I’m there!!)
I might be able to get you a ride in a Pro/Am tournament Steve, but they only have a couple more scheduled and one of them is this weekend.

Thanks bud, if I am at home when there is a Pro/Am scheduled, then I’ll take you up on that offer. Do you have any intentions of fishing as a pro now you have a boat??
