James,

I have to stick with what works for me. Yes, I do catch the occasional fish on a spinnerbait, chatterbait or crankbait, but the mighty Senko rules when it comes to catching bass, hands down. As far as other species, do they even exist? I live, eat and breathe for catching bass, bass, bass and more bass. You could say I go out each morning with bass-colored glasses

May is the magic month in Korea; the singular month to catch lots of fish, the Big One, all fish, every fish. All species of freshwater fish tend to go nuts in May. The month of May is the finest time to be on the water in the great republic of South Korea.

Count the days gentlemen, the month is slipping by. Get on the water, near the water, anyway you can and cast a line and make a good time of it. You'll thank me next January: get on the water now!

Nomad--you really have to give up this senko addiction. Bass can be caught on other things. Also, have you recently caught anything else other than bass or bluegill? Some native fish like notchmouths, river tarpon, barbels, snakeheads and the like? Just curious.

We tried for some tuna last night, but the tide has changed direction by 180 degrees and they weren't in the mood for eating, but I'll try again in a few days time.

Looks like the bass are coming to life in the river at last Nomad. Good job on some nice catches.

[insert large homesick smilie here]

I think we were right about the river though; due to the cold weather the bass just got a later start than last year.

I saw a few bedding fish but nothing like last year. And yea, nearly every bass I caught had a bloody tail, even the ones I caught out in deeper water, so I think we were in a late/post spawn situation down there.

Oddly enough, nope...not yet. Weird, eh? How about at Andong? Is the spawn already over down there?
