I started out at my favorite spot this morning but unfortunately, there was already a carp fisherman camped out there, complete with at least 10 spinning rods spread out by the point I like to fish.
I couldn’t cast without crossing his lines so I had to cast really close to shore but still managed to catch two there. After a little while, I packed up and headed to another spot.
I was determined to catch a bass on a rattle trap, so I spent about 45 minutes throwing one and finally caught a fish on this type lure.
The two above are the biggest and smallest of the morning…I also wanted to catch fish on different colored Senkos beside black so I put on a watermelon with black flakes and not a single bite. I spent a lot of time throwing that rattle trap and could have probably caught more fish had I stuck with Senkos but hey, I’m just happy that I managed to cast a rattle trap in that river for 45 minutes without getting it snagged and losing it

LOL
That’s quite the accomplishment, IMO
Maybe even a little Divine Intervention.
Good going on catching some on a bait with treble hooks…AND not losing it!!
Rob,
The way the last week or so have gone, I wouldn’t doubt it.
Steve,
Thanks, and I think I’m most proud of the fact that I didn’t lose that lure. You saw what that river is like
“You saw what that river is like”
Saw it, hooked it and lost some lures in it!!!!
There are more lures in that river than Bass Pro Shops has on its shelves. lol
