It’s kind of funny how I was trying for a 50cm bass for almost 5 years with no luck and I already caught 2 so far this year, plus a few that were 48 and 49…the fish are definitely growing up this way, which is great.
As far as the topwater action, it’s even more pleasing when you’re least expecting it. I was more or less passing the time, trying different retrieves I had read about. That bass was airborne, baby, airborne!

There’s nothing more pleasing than some topwater action to get the heart pumping
