Dave,

Good to hear from you again! Hope all is well with you and your family! Don't be such a stranger; let us know how life and fishing is in your part of the world. Oh, remember when I asked you for advice on my daughter's jaw problems? We're hoping/thinking that it was part of growing because it hasn't bothered her now in a long time. She says that if she opens her jaws too wide (yawn etc) she feels some minor discomfort but the clicking sounds and the jaw locking up hasn't happened in a long time now. Of course, we did change her habits; no gum, no hard/chewy candies, having her not sleep with her face sideways against the bed etc. and so far, so good.
Tight lines!

Guys,
Greetings from San Antonio!
I have indeed left Korea and settled down and bought a house only 10 minutes from Canyon Lake. Now just to dig through the mountains of boxes in the garage to find all my fishing gear.
What a coincidence! I just got my computer up and running and I have received a question.
John,
Here are the coordinates for the pier:
37.115363 and 126.681333
I got them from google maps. The map doesn't show it but it is there unless the recent typhoon took it out.
You all take care over there.
Dave

John, I think Dave has left Korea. We haven't heard from him in a while, but maybe he still checks the blog and will give you a reply.

How can I find the Gungpyeong pier you have pictured in the article. Is it possible to get some driving directions from Dongducheon or get the name that I can put into my NAV system?? I would like to take my family fishing there.

Thanks,
John

Dave,

Wow, that's hard to believe because that's usually the cleanest part of the lake, especially from the cove on down to the dam, where it's the deepest. Some friends of mine camped out there Friday night and they said they caught some small bass and 10 decent bluegill but once the sun went down, the bite completely stopped, which is odd.
