That’s What Rain Jackets And Waders Are For

KMA was calling for a lot of rain today, but this time of year, I usually have my best days right before or as a front is moving in and this morning was no exception.  So when I woke up and saw it wasn’t raining yet, I headed on out to the river to try my luck.  Of course it started raining shortly after I got out there smile_regular

I ended up catching 6, but the other three were dinks, and once the rain started coming down hard and it got light out, only dinks were biting.  Most of my fish this morning were caught on black, 5-inch Senkos, on 30-pound braid.  I caught a couple of the dinks on 4-inch Senkos, and also tried spinnerbaits, with no takers.  The rain really started coming down hard around 6:30, which usually doesn’t bother me too much but the wind started picking up as well, so I headed in to work a bit early.  For this time of year, I call today a pretty good morning.

Nice going Nomad. I was out there at a little after 5 this morning but didn’t see you. Were you in your usual spot?

  2. Nomad says:

Yes sir, I was parked all the way down on the point, as far as you can drive without being in the weeds or water

  3. Rob says:

    Guys,
I’ll be back in Korea on July 23rd, but this may get extended by an extra week as my counterpart that is supposed to replace me on the 21st has quit.

Knowing now how big those river bass get, I will definately try and get back up there to fish with you guys ;-)

    Steve,

I know we’ve been planning this on and off for a couple of years and something has always come up but I really hope that we can all get together sometime soon (before we all get too old, LOL) for a couple of days fishing, drinking beer and…wait, is there anything else? ;)

  13. Steve says:

You are absolutely right Nomad. Andong would be a great place, but the river is good also

We should make a date for a meet and just make sure we all stick with it.

  14. Rob says:

As long as I’m not bogged down with work, I’m there.
