I'd say they get plenty of direct sunlight, which is one reason why the river isn't frozen in that particular stretch, and am equally as sure that they hold some heat, thus drawing some fish to them. However, as Nomad suspects, I bet it's wall to wall with carp fishermen these days. Those guys are non stop, no matter what the weather is like!!!

Go get 'em Steve!!! :)

Deep with big rocks, sounds perfect for winter bass. Does those rocks get any direct sunlight during the day??

Not wanting to upset anyone, but I'm heading to a pond tomorrow morning in hopes of some more bass action

I've fished that rock wall before, it's closer to the Humphreys bridge than it is the 38 bridge. 2 years ago, I fished there during December and had a fish break my line right there at the rocks, first cast. Nothing after that though  . To get down there, you have to park on the levee and then walk about 100 yards across the rice fields. It's deep, and there are lots of big rocks.

The rock wall that the guy from Osan likes to fish is in there somewhere, but I have no idea how to drive down to it. If it gets up into the 40's I might be willing to give it a try, but for now, like you, I'm content and can wait a little while...

Yeah I saw that part of the river but I've never had any luck up that way. It's pretty shallow with not much structure/rocks etc, unless you go to the left (Osan) side of the bridge and the carp muttons always set up there in droves to boot. I have patience and can wait ;)

Thanks fellas!
I'm going again on Thursday, we have a mini heat wave coming, it's supposed to reach 50 degrees.

There you go Nomad, Rob has found you a spot to get the 2010 EMB series under way.

Nice going Steve!! :)

Actually Nomad, there's a good stretch of river that's not iced up any more, near the 38 bridge as you go the back way to Osan...
