After what seemed like a never ending winter, I finally got the boat out of it’s winter cover and onto the water.
Wednesday, the better half and I took the boat to a local lake for a few hours until the wind picked up and she got cold, lol. We caught a bunch of fish, a lot of dinks and a couple of nicer ones. The wife caught the biggest (again). All of my bass were caught on 5” watermelon/red senkos and the wife was using a 4” junebug senko copy.
Here’s my biggest
…..and here’s the wife’s nice 42cm bass
Then on Thursday, I took the boat out on my own to a different lake where I will be fishing on Sunday. The wind was very strong and the lake looked more like the ocean than a lake, but I managed to find a sheltered bank out of the strongest wind. I only caught one bass and missed a couple of other bites.
I caught this one using a Surecatch MP Craw
I’m getting jealous, Steve!
Nice job and congrats to your wife for once again showing you how it’s done
Maybe you should let her fish with you in the tournament?
LOL Nomad, I think she should!
Wow!
I wish I could find members of the opposite sex who enjoy fishing. The only time my sister asked me to take her fishing, it ended up being with ulterior motives. She asked a boy she liked if he’d like to go fishing with her as an ice breaker. They were married less than a year later, and she hasn’t been fishing since that first date of theirs. Luckily, her husband takes out their boys all the time.
Here’s a link showing Babe Winkelman out with four of his daughters, a granddaughter, and his wife. http://winkelman.com/video.php?folder=goodfishing&type=f Too bad I didn’t grow up on those 10,000 lakes in Minnesota.
Nice going Steve!!
You already know how it’s been going up this way from the emails I’ve been sending you…
Thanks guys.
Rob, it’s raining down here now also, and it’s forecast for the next 3 day
