I headed back out this morning to see if I could get a repeat from yesterday. It was cold, and pretty windy to boot but it looks like the bass may be slowly waking up
I can’t take credit for the bass in the first pic; I had thrown out my rod and then gone to warm my hands in the car for a few minutes and when I came back, the fish was on. As you can see, both fish hit black, 5-inch Senkos.
Hardcore, Nomad. You still put the lure in the right spot. Beautiful fish. big ones are a coming soon.
Life all of a sudden is starting to feel normal once again…
Wilsong,
Harcore is NOT the word my wife uses to describe my fishing addiction
Rob,
Yes indeed, and I feel like a new man. Amazing the outlook one gets on life when one can do the things one loves to do, eh?
Good job that fish didn’t pull your rod into the water. Good going Nomad.
Nice going mate. These fish seem a little bigger than yesterdays?
If i had a Korean license I’d be out there trying to hook them as well hahah
Are you getting out there before dawn? Must be damn cold lol
Steve,
You’re right…I’d be mighty unhappy if a fish pulled my St. Croix rod into the water.
tri,
The one in the 2nd pic was bigger than yesterday’s and it hit the worm about 2 feet from shore in very shallow water. You don’t need a license to fish, only the gear. And yep, I was out there around 5:45, and it was still dark and very cold.
Wow… 2 feet from shore?
How are you rigging your senkos?
Unweighted worm hook?
P.s. your alot more dedicated than i am getting out of bed before 5.45am hahaha
tri,
I fish my Senkos texas-rigged, weightless on a Gamakatsu wide-gapped 3/0 hook. Depending on the area, I’ll also fish them wacky-rigged but most of the time,texas-rigged it is.
The area I fish is less than 10 minutes from my job so I stop there in the morning before work to get an hour or two in…it’s perfect because I love being out first thing in the morning to watch the sun rise, and best of all, there are usually no other people around so I have the shore all to myself
Win-win.
Yeah, I got the Han a 5 minute walk from my door but…………………………..
Where is the “envious” smilie?
Thanks for the tip mate.
If it wasn’t raining I’d give today a shot…
Soon as it does I’m out there for a fish…
Hopefully there is bass in the river a couple minutes away, just scared it might be a little shallow..
Wilsong,
Do you happen to live in Ichon-dong, per chance?
tri,
Hopefully after these rains, the weather will improve. Please let us know how you do, ok?
Yep, Dongbu Ichondong.
Wilsong,
That’s what I thought. We lived there for 16 months and took many walks along the river, especially on those hot summer evenings, trying to catch a breeze.
That is the nice part about it. Especially since they have redone the parks, gotten rid of the manicured lawns and replaced them with more natural plants and let them just grow along the paths.
If only you could catch fish out of the Han, it would be a perfect situation. Hard to find cover in it.
