He’s getting out there more than me, and that’s unheard of! He sent me two sets of pics; these are from 19 April:
And the below are from today:
He also gave me some bad news; the carp fishermen are now using live worms on some of their long carp poles, in order to catch bass and after they catch the bass, they throw them up on shore to die. He said he saw quite a few dead bass laying on shore…![]()
Ty,
Did you measure or weigh the one in the second pic from today? That really looks like one heck of a decent fish! Let’s hurry up and catch them all before Steve comes up for the tournament
More great catches Ty!
Nomad, the way I’ve been fishing this year, I wouldn’t catch any even if you tied some to a stringer with a sign saying “Steve’s bass” with flashing neon lights…lol
Steve,
You really haven’t gotten out that much yet, have you? I hope you guys have some nice weather this weekend and so far, it’s looking good. And there’s a full moon coming up so the fishing should be great over the weekend.
Just remember; black Senkos and red/white spinnerbaits and the trophy is yours, my friend!
Your forgot one thing Nomad, weeds and reeds!!!
Nice going Ty!
Ack! I didn’t want to give away all the secrets
BTW, here’s a little something that Rob found not too long ago…think anyone is trying to send us bass fishermen a message?
Seriously, what was the point in doing that? Pathetic…
Black senkos and spinnerbaits are all packed and ready, just got to locate the weeds
That photo is just sad, just imagine what would happen if “someone” did that to a carp!
We’ll show you where the weeds are Steve. Do you know what your boundaries are going to be yet, how far you’ll be able to go? I don’t think there’s any way that you could get up to where Nomad and Ty have been fishing on just a trolling motor even if you’re allowed to go that far, but there are still plenty of reeds and weeds near the slope / launch. I would say if you see just a hint of weeds in the water, and I mean just a hint, especially this time of year, chuck a worm right in the middle of them and slowly drag it back out. They’re in there… And if the weed and reed pattern isn’t working, hit the rock walls.
Just sent you a quick email with the boundaries Rob
I would post it here, but I don’t know how!
You all need to catch some of them nasty carp, cut their heads off and impale the heads on the trees where they can see them.
We used to do this when I was a kid and all we could catch was carp. Being that we were very poor, we didn’t throw the rest away or us it as fertilizer but instead ate it. Yummy.
Can’t beleive I actually used to eat nasty dirty water canal carp. Yuk.
