Not as sweet as John’s new boat, but Sweeet!

I was looking through the PASSO website last week and came across a boat for sale for a decent price. It turns out it was being sold by the same people/company where John recently bought his new boat, but this one was an older model.

I mentioned to the wife that I wanted it, and surprisingly she said yes, so I quickly transferred the $$$ before she had chance to change her mind, and by 5:00pm the very next day the boat was delivered  :)

It is just a basic 12 foot fiberglass hull with a deck and fitted livewell, so I will have to transfer all my stuff from my Portabote onto my new boat, which will be fun. Here’s a few photos from the site;

More photos to come as I get all my stuff transferred.

    Thanks guys.
I am not to going to pimp it out too much this time, I am wanting to keep this boat as light as possible for extra speed during tournaments. I will still be pimped out to a certain point though ;-)

    Nomad,
Actually, now that you mention it, taking the Mrs to Andong at the weekend was a good thing. After she saw all those “real” bass boats, she mentioned that we should get one, but only after I get a better job.

Damn, I hope my wife tells me to get a real bass boat once we get to the states! Oh wait, she won’t have time because as I already told her on numerous occasions, a bass boat will be the first thing I buy :)

Good find on the boat Steve. It’s funny how when the wife accompanies her man, she out does him every time. LOL

That’s why I leave mine at home, Ty  . Hmmm come to think of it, the times I took my daughter out, she did really well too.

Murphys Law! It will happen every time.

    Steve,
Congrats on the new boat. The deck and storage makes them so much more fishable than inflatables or folding boats. I too tried to keep from putting too much stuff on mine but with all the storage, I ended up putting almost all my Plano boxes in so I can have all my lures handy. Just in case.

Ty, it must be true, I can’t remember a time when she hasn’t beaten me on the water. Luckily she only comes fishing 3 or 4 times per year :???:

    John,
Thanks. I know what you mean about the extra storage space, but I really need to keep this boat as light as possible. My current boat was way too heavy, with all the tackle I carried and even with 2 trolling motors running on full power those little inflatables were getting to my spots before me on tournament day.

    Steve,

Now that I have my boat pimped, I am thinking about fishing the Challenger league instead of the ProAm. Chunchon would be a good place for me to start. Can you tell me how to get registered?

  11. steve says:

    John,
The Chuncheon tournament on Sept 5th is a Challenger open tournament, so I believe you should be able to just show up on the Sunday morning, pay the entry fee and fish. Perhaps you can contact Pete Hart as he has more inside info with KSA matters, or get your secretary to call the KSA owners for more details @ 02-777-3885

If you want to fish the Challenger Pro league then you’ll have to register through the KSA owners, but we only have 2 Pro tournaments left this season plus the Master Classic, so you may be better joining up next year to get your moneys worth out of it.

Let me know if you need any more info.
