Where I can spend more time fishing during the day than working ![]()
From Ty:
Nomad I went to the river and I arrived at 4:21. I caught a dink right off the bat, first cast. I then caught three nice ones that are in the pics. I heard this loud thunder and was thinking about that lightning show you sent me of that guy fishing. Oh well, I continued to fish until hearing the heavy rain come across the river and guess what? It was a mad dash sprint to the chain to get into the truck. You guess it, I was soaking wet. At that time it was only 5:15, so I did pretty good for less than an hour and catching four fish at 92 degree weather. I wished it didn’t rain because it could have been a good evening of fishing.
During the summer, a front coming through almost always turns them on…that’s when I’ve had my best luck, but on the other hand, the 2 or 3 days after a front are tough fishing.
Yeah, when your on call 24/7 you tend to save up some comp time to take a hour or two a day. So why not make the best of it. Thanks for posting the pics!
LOL Go for it Ty!!
Those are some nice looking bass. By the way, did you all hear about a Pro (Mike Hart) who just got caught pushing lead weights attached to treble hooks down the throats of fish he caught during a recent tournament. What caught my eye was that a Korean fisherman who flew in from Korea was with him and had his moeny reimbursed because of the issue. Pretty sad and in my mind a shitbird for cheating and sticking treble hooks in the throats of the fish. WTH.
Tex Mex,
Read the comments under the “record Dinks” post…there are 2 instances of major cheating mentioned.
Ty,
I’d do the same if I was in your shoes brother and I salute you for even thinking about fishing in this heat. I don’t even like walking from the car to my apt. after work
WTG Ty, that’s a great result from 1 hours fishing!!
Thanks guys and I can’t wait to do it again!
